because it goes along with their agenda... my company is currently building the soon to be two largest solar energy fields in the US. the funny thing is it has been difficult satisfying all the environmental interest groups who want to stop the projects because they change the dynamics of the ecosystem in the middle of the desert. they want alternative clean energy, but they want it to come from space
