How come those people are saying that i'm supporting the communists in vietnam if i get married in vietnam?

I'm going to get married to a vietnamese girl in vietnam in an arranged marriage sometime soon. I've haven't had much luck with girls so in five years from now or when ever i get out of college and graduate from college, If i still don't have luck with girls, I'm choosing an arranged marriage arranged by my mother. It is actually a pretty common thing when it comes to arranged marriages, I've known some people who are happily married for 15 years with children after an arranged marriage and those people are vietnamese too. Some of the Vietnamese people in my town are bashing me and making fun of me because they are saying I'm supporting the communists in Vietnam by marrying girls over there. In my opinion marrying a girl from Vietnam has nothing to do with supporting the communists or not. Most of the Vietnamese people in the states are against the communists because they fought against them back in the war, I mean it has been over 34 years since the war why can't they just put it behind themselves. I've told them to shut up and put the war thing behind themselves and they threatened me that when i get married they are going to burn my house down with me and my wife in it when my wife comes over here. They said they either set my house on fire by gasoline or they would put explosives, they said they are doing that becasue i'm supporting the communist while I'm not. I haven't had any lucks with girls so thats what i would chose and to in order have a wife. How come they are saying that I'm supporting the communists in vietnam if i marry a girl from Vietnam ?? What could I do to protect me and my future wife from them ?? Do you think they would really do that or they are just bluffing ?? I really don't know if they are bluffing or not. Can anyone please help me out ???
