Whats the latest it takes for hepatitis c to show up in your blood/body after exposure?

OK so i want to know whats the LATEST time the HCV virus or hepatitis c will show in your body or blood. I know its usually 3-6 months but can it take longer than that i.e several years!!!!!!! The reason i ask this is because I had a blood transfusion 3 months back and I am Absolutely S!*$ing myself as i fear that later on in life this virus will show up even if i get tested in 6 months and it comes back negative. I cant help but keep thinking negative thoughts like this because of the fear i have for developing hepatitis c..........
