How well will my diet work?

I'm a 23 yr old male @ 163 lbs - my goal is to gain 7 lbs of muscle. According to my handy dandy iPhone app, I need to consume around 2500 calories a day. I eat eggs,fruit... Basically well rounded meals - it's more continuously throughout the day though rather than at scheduled intervals. I drink about 300 calories worth of whey protein (2 cups milk included) and drink half before the half after my workout. Each workout is around 350 avg vardio and I don't have much other than dumbells and a multi-use pull up bar. I'm curious as to whether I can reach my goal. I know little of nutrition. Also, like I said I need to consume 2500 calories but how does burning calories effect my muscle gain and about how many calories should I burn a day? Thanks
