Could you travel thousands of years into the future without your mind snapping?

At what point would the culture shock be too great? When time travel is finally invented, I wonder if some brave soul would take the plunge 100,000 years into the future. What kind of training could you give someone to prepare for the sensory overload of 102,000 AD? I imagine them sending a robot on the first trip to take pictures to bring back for careful study, - only to destroy the present when the future's atoms/ chemical makeup and/or God knows what substance from the future mixes with today's reality structure.
