Dying a skirt for my wedding?

I am getting married in less than 4 months and I need to dye a skirt of my to wear down the aisle. We've already decided it will be a non-formal wedding, just close family and friends. We have chosen white and yellow colors for flowers and clothes. The delima is I can't find a skirt that I like. I am totally into the Bohemian/Gypsy style and I already have a beautiful skirt that I love, I am just thinking about dying it yellow instead of continuing to find a new one. Any advice on how to dye it yellow. I don't want it blotchy or looking like it was tie-dyed. What do I do??
