How would have worked before "the fall"?

Ok, so Adam and Eve started all innocent and everything, and we all know is just horribly sinful, so how would have worked before that whole apple, Satan, original sin thing? Would it have been pleasurable? Would such innocent creatures have had the capacity to feel and understand that pleasure? How would those ual thoughts work?
