How long before a patient starts to improve after a heart attack, please help i;m scared he'll die?

my friend is 51 had the heart attack Saturday night, his 2nd in 3 months and was in a coma after the first for 2 weeks was able to walk and talk 2 weeks ago so why would he have another heart attack? How long before he could start to heal?
